Four-Track Recording Mode

With the 4CH Mode it can record two different stereo feeds simultaneously from a flexible combination of sources. Use the built-in mics with a pair of external mics or with a balanced line input.

Never Miss a Take

DR-40X is equipped with Auto Recording functionality to automatically start recording when an input signal is detected, and Peak Reduction technology to guard against sudden spikes in loudness.

No Need to Go Through "Take 2"

If you don't like the last part of a phrase you just recorded, DR-40X has an Overwrite Mode which allows users to select a precise record drop-in time for replacement recording with one level of undo.

Nondestructive Overdubbing

The Nondestructive Overdubbing feature allows you to record other parts such as a guitar solo over a recording previously made such as at a rehearsal studio while leaving the original file unaffected.

Record High Quality for Longer
